I have taken a course on entrepreneurship in my previous degree. It was a comprehensive course but it was completely focused on the new startups and did not focused on how the innovation and entrepreneurship can be utilized in the existing firms, especially very large firms which become more administrative in nature with their growth.
The initial two lectures provided me with a new direction and a new manifestation of innovation. How innovation can be utilized in the existing firms. It is a new idea to me and has provided me with a focus for my own business. Before coming to JIBS I was working on a business plan for launching a Media and Advertising firm. The two courses of Innovation & Business Creation and Entrepreneurial Growth have till now provided me with a new thought process that how I have to develop my business in future.
The lecture on business planning provided an insight on how I can develop a business plan. It gave me a deeper understanding of contents of a business plan like vision, mission, segmentation and strategy development.
